At Tuggle Residential, we strive to keep you informed during the construction of your new home, and we want you to see how well your new home is built. We schedule five meetings during this process to help ensure that we are building your home to your specifications.
Meeting 1
The first step in the building process is your Homeowner's Orientation Meeting. This meeting occurs a couple weeks after the time of your purchase. You will be contacted by our construction manager to set this appointment. This meeting will be held at the sales office. This is your opportunity to review any questions you may have regarding your home. Our construction manager will begin by reviewing your house plans with you verifying all changes and/or additions to your satisfaction.
Meeting 2
A fun part of buying your new "Tuggle Residential" home is customizing it through the selection of options and other finish materials. These choices will be made at Cottage House Interiors with a design coordinator. Design Selections include items such as cabinet styles and colors, floor coverings, wall colors, hardwood color, exterior colors, etc. These options can be viewed and selected at the Cottage House Interiors through displays and brochures. Prior to visiting the Cottage House Interiors you may visit their online showroom at http://cottagehouseinteriors.com to view digital pictures of options available to you.
Meeting 3
The next step in your building process is the Pre-Framing Meeting. This meeting occurs after the foundation is poured, but before framing has begun. This meeting is in the sales office with you and the Construction Manager . Your Construction Manager will begin reviewing your house plans with you, including any changes made at the previous meeting, and he will answer any questions regarding the construction of your home. You will review the plans, one floor at a time, finalizing all aspects of the construction of your home.
Meeting 4
At this point your house is framed, and you are ready for the Post Framing Meeting. You and the Construction Manager will participate in this meeting. At this time you will decide on electrical possibilities, phone locations, and cable/TV locations. This meeting is also to verify that all customization options are to your satisfaction.
Meeting 5
The New Home Demonstration Meeting, which some people in the real estate industry call a "walk-thru," occurs approximately 2 weeks prior to closing and is performed by our warranty company representative. The purpose is to introduce you to your new home, demonstrate the operation of appliances and systems in your home, and explain regular homeowner maintenance responsibilities. In addition, the meeting will serve as an opportunity for you and our warranty company representative to note any items that might be incomplete or require repair before closing. While walking your home, you and they will complete and have you sign a checklist indicating that you have reviewed certain items and have noted any concerns you may have.
